1) Highlight something on the person’s profile: Dig deep into their profile and find something interesting. Take that effort they will surely notice it.

2) Appreciate creators for their posts or give feedback — Creators love appreciation there is no doubt about it. Personalized feedback will surely make the day of any creator.

3) Be professional and formal: When you are connecting with someone you don’t know try to have a formal and professional conversation. Don’t be informal unless it is your close friend on the other side. Ultimately it depends on person to person some are open-minded in this regard.

Goes without saying LinkedIn is not a dating app. Always better to use a dating app than to see your screenshots flowing across feeds.

4) Misinterpretation of chats: Sometimes I have noticed that other users misinterpret my chats. If that happens try to resolve it by explaining more. Still, if it doesn’t get resolved try to tell them about how there is a misunderstanding there between us. You can also use audio notes etc… if other user permits the same.

5) Be Respectful and polite — Have a beautiful conversation by respecting the opinions of the other users. Treat them like you treat yourself. Try to argue less

6) Busy schedule of professionals — LinkedIn is a professional platform used mostly by professionals. Professionals have a busy schedule. So wait for the replies patiently especially if that person is not an active user.

7) Invest time in personal conversations: I personally believe nowadays that personal conversations are not a waste of time. We can learn new things and see things from another’s perspective. You can get exposed to different kinds of people who can help you grow.

8) Personalized Connection request: Sending a note along with connection request will increase the chances of acceptance. Since you will make the other person feel special through it . It also shows the amount of research done by you.
